A Little Bit More

Chorus

Won’t you try a little bit more, a little bit more

Not to lie a little bit more, a little bit more

You got me going round in circles chasing my own tail

Until I cry…. just a little bit more

*

You’ve got me questioning my mind about the places you’ve been going

I doubt my sanity consistently about the things you’ve done

You planted seeds inside my mind, the seeds of lies that are now surely growing

The truth I can no longer tell, from all the lies you’ve spun me on the phone

*

Chorus

*

I know there’s someone else your seeing, secretly, ‘cosI’m not stupid

The way you act, the way you dress, assessing every single word you say

The nights away or working late articulating all those lame excuses

If it’s the end then don’t pretend, that my imagination’s gone astray

*

Chorus

*

I think I think I’m going mad, I think I think that I’ve been had by you

I think I think there is no more, I think I think I’m really sure we’re screwed

I think I think the time is now I think before we have a row

I’m gonna pull the pin, blow this thing to smithereens

Gonna take control and tell you we’re through

*

Chorus

A few years ago I knew a girl that was going through a very bad marriage break up. She knew he was having an affair, but he continually denied it despite all the evidence to the contrary. It got to the point where she started to question her own sanity. Self doubt set in and she didn’t know what was was real and who or what to believe. Eventually the situation got so bad that she had to take control and in doing so end the marriage. That decision enabled both to get on with their lives and her mental health improved overnight. – Paul
